Before the hurricane

Granbouchi, a village in Les Cayes, Haiti was one of many places damaged by Hurrican Matthew on October 4th 2016.

The Church at Northshore, partnering with the local church in Grandbouchi and Praying Pelican Missions, has taken on the task of rebuilding the homes in Grandbouchi.

There were thirty-three homes destroyed. See picture of before and what we are building now.

Our personal connection is Rudy and Caroline Basin. Rudy is a citizen of Haiti, and his wife Caroline are members of Northshore and work for Praying Pelican Mission

Pastor Jean Delcy, a pastor living in Grandbouchi, is also a personal friend of the Basin – Jean is a key leader of the community. He is serving as our point person. His house withstood the hurricane and is a model of what we are rebuilding.

The houses will be built by local people and “short-term-missionaries”. 33 houses will be rebuilt. The average cost of a home is $9,000. If you’d like to be a part of this venture, there is a donation button below, you can donate through PayPal.
